Borehole Cleaning and Reusability Enhancement Solution (BUR-CURE)

Description

BUR-CURE addresses a problem in dentistry: diamond drills in dentistry are often thrown away after one use because they cannot be cleaned completely and safely again.

The BUR-CURE project aims to ensure the safe re-use of dental drills, reducing waste and costs and contributing to more sustainable care. The project will develop and test an approach that ensures high hygiene standards and fits comfortably into everyday clinical processes, focusing on safety, usability and rapid implementation. As a result, society can expect lower treatment costs and less medical waste.
