In order to ensure a common understanding of the key stages, terminology and cooperation mechanisms of technology transfer and to strengthen institutional competences in this field, technology transfer and intellectual property experts, researchers and other interested parties are invited to participate in the webinar series “Technology Transfer Fundamentals: From Idea to Innovation”.
Researchers and other interested parties are invited to an online seminar on April 23 at 10:00 AM about collaboration with companies and market validation of ideas – we will share experiences, examples, and practical advice.
M.Sc. Chemistry, M.Sc. Nutrition Līga Žūka, leading innovation expert at the University of Latvia's Innovation and Acceleration Center, will present the most effective cooperation models between universities, scientific institutions, and companies. Special attention will be given to the experiences of various countries, analyzing how academic-industry cooperation is organized in different innovation ecosystems. The Swiss academic-industry cooperation model, where universities, companies, and the public sector form a close innovation partnership, will also be discussed.
We will also analyze in more detail the barriers and opportunities for collaboration with industry, looking at them from the perspectives of various stakeholders—researchers, companies, and investors.
M.Sc. Eng., MBA Egils Bēriņš, an expert in the commercialization of innovative solutions at the Institute of Electronics and Computer Science (EDI), will present the experience of the Institute of Electronics and Computer Science (EDI) in transforming research results into commercial value and strengthening partnerships with companies.
