Here, companies have a unique opportunity to present their technological challenges, which research teams can address by applying scientific expertise and creating solutions with a direct impact on industry.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Industry Challenge<\/em> or industry challenges, cover a wide range of science-intensive sectoral issues that affect multiple industry players and other stakeholders. Researchers <em>Industry Challenge <\/em>the opportunity to network with specific companies and develop prototypes based on real industry needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For companies, this initiative provides an opportunity to highlight the most pressing technological challenges, find suitable research partners and access the expertise of researchers without making an immediate investment. The process will be guided by BioPhoT mentors, facilitating an open and creative dialogue between scientists and potential industry partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the challenge is solved, the intellectual property rights remain with the research institutions, but industry partners are given the option to purchase the proven results in a way that suits them - through licensing, patenting or other collaborative mechanisms. This initiative is a bridge between knowledge and needs for win-win cooperation.
