In order to ensure a common understanding of the key stages, terminology and cooperation mechanisms of technology transfer and to strengthen institutional competences in this field, technology transfer and intellectual property experts, scientists and other interested parties are invited to participate in the webinar series \u201cTechnology Transfer Basics: From Idea to Innovation\u201d, where intellectual property and technology transfer specialists from the BioPhoT platform will share their knowledge and experience.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first webinar - \u201cTechnology Transfer Process and Role in Research Organisations\u201d - Dr Anna Stikane (Head of the Technology Transfer Centre at the Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis) and D\u0101vids \u0160t\u0113belis (Industrial Coordinator of the European Space Agency (ESA) in Latvia) shared their knowledge and experience:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Technology transfer process from invention discovery to commercialisation (technology identification, evaluation, protection, commercialisation, transaction, maintenance of commitment);<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- The role of the TTO in the research organisation, the role of the innovation ecosystem and typical challenges in communicating with scientists and industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
