On 26 January, the University of Latvia (UL) Science House hosted the BioPhoT Industry Day, bringing together researchers, industry, entrepreneurs and investors to strengthen collaboration between science and business.
During the event, you had the opportunity to get acquainted with the research, innovative solutions and prototypes in biomedicine, photonics, smart materials and engineering technologies supported by the platform, as well as to hear inspiring presentations from Latvian and international experts on knowledge transfer and research commercialisation.
The panel discussions and networking opportunities were particularly valuable, demonstrating that Latvia has a strong potential to create competitive, internationally relevant innovations.
To strengthen long-term partnerships, the event saw the signing of two MoUs between the BioPhoT platform and leading international innovation and health organisations - with the global deep tech innovation ecosystem Hello Tomorrow and with EIT Health - Europe's largest network of health innovators.
