On September 18, representatives of the “BioPhoT” project are invited to participate in a masterclass dedicated to improving persuasive presentation skills, titled “How to Best Sell Your Idea – Persuasive Presentation Skills.” The masterclass will be led by presentation expert Kristaps Pētersons.
The masterclass will be held in English at Riga Technical University (RTU) in Riga, 6a Ķīpsalas Street, The Moon Hall. Applications for participation are open until September 16. Further information and the registration link are available “on the ”BioPhoT" website.
During the masterclass, participants will have the opportunity to learn the basic principles of creating a successful presentation and practice presenting their research or project. A particularly important part of the masterclass will be dedicated to how to present a scientific idea or project results to an audience not affiliated with scientific organizations. Participants will learn how to structure the presentation's message, choose appropriate content and form, and speak confidently in front of an audience.
During the training, the basic principles of presentation structure, content, form, and public speaking will be covered. The lecture will be followed by a practical masterclass where representatives of the “BioPhoT” project will have the opportunity to work on their presentation slide versions, improve their content and structure, and receive feedback from a professional training instructor.
Masterclass leader Kristaps Pētersons has more than 30 years of experience in storytelling and communication. He began his career as a local television reporter and later collaborated with international media such as CNN, BBC, Bloomberg, The New York Times, Le Monde, International Herald Tribune, Eesti Päevaleht and several European public broadcasters.
Kristaps Pētersons is a certified presentation master, Presentation Guild member and former board member of the organization, international TEDx speaker and FuckUp Nights Worldwide member. He also hosts the weekly business show “Median Report”.
In his professional career, Kristaps Pētersons has prepared more than 4,000 corporate sales and investment presentations, created over 2,000 TV news segments and broadcasts, published more than 1,500 articles and interviews, and delivered over 1,000 lectures.
