We invite BioPhoT program researchers to participate in a two-day practical training on research commercialization. During the training, participants will learn how to turn research results into commercial opportunities—from identifying potential markets and business partners to technology pitching, negotiations, and investment attraction.
The training will take place over two full days, from 09:00 to 16:15.
The training will be led by Jeff Skinner, an expert in the field of research commercialization and technology transfer. The program includes practical examples, discussions, and tasks that will help participants better understand cooperation with companies and investors.
Topics covered in the training:
- How to identify commercial opportunities and assess technology-market fit
- How to develop a commercialization roadmap and define a value proposition
- How to identify and approach potential business partners
- How to present the value of technology to partners and investors
- How to go from a first meeting to a potential deal
- How to conduct research collaboration talks
- How to attract investment for spin-off companies and agree on equity shares
Number of participants: up to 30 people
Participation: exclusively for BioPhoT program participants. Each PIP team can register up to 2 participants.
Participants who complete the training will receive an ASTP certificate.
