On September 24, 2026, at 9:00 AM, the final seminar of the “BioPhoT” project “White Laser Endoscopy System (ENDOLASE)” will take place..

Within the project, a new endoscopy system has been developed that combines RGB white laser illumination with three-wavelength spectral imaging. The developed technology makes it possible to acquire three spectral images from a standard color camera, which provide information on different light penetration depths in the mucosa.

During the project, the TRL4 prototype was improved by reducing its dependence on a specific endoscope model, and the system's performance was validated in two partner clinics. As a result of the project, TRL5 was achieved, and a patent application regarding the simultaneous use of white light and narrow-band imaging (NBI) was filed and approved.

At the seminar, project managers Jānis Spīgulis and Uldis Rubīns will present the work done during the project, the developed technology, and the achieved results.
