Open House at POLYCLAY-UV Laboratory
“The ”BioPhot" project team invites you to an open house dedicated to POLYCLAY-UV – an innovative polyphenol-clay composite material created from coffee and tea industry by-products, intended as a sustainable, multifunctional UV protection ingredient.
This is an early-stage innovation, and the event marks one of the first steps in its real-world validation. Instead of showcasing a finished product, the development process itself is opened up – creating space for insights, discussions, and co-creation.
The event will take place from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the University of Latvia, Jelgavas iela 3, Riga. Pre-registration is required to participate. here.
Programme:
- Deep-tech presentation: POLYCLAY-UV from material science to application
- Panel Discussion: Science × Sustainability × Industry
- Industry Perspective: From Coffee By-products to High Value-Added Materials (in cooperation with Rocket Bean Roastery)
- Coffee cupping: taste, molecules, and sensory science
Before the public session, closed focus group sessions (invitation only) will also take place to understand user needs and expectations regarding personal care products.
