On 24 November, the first “BioPhoT - Latvia's Innovation Springboard” conference took place at the Riga Technical University Science and Innovation Centre, bringing together biomedical and photonics researchers, entrepreneurs, industry representatives and science policy makers.
In addition to presentations, discussions and ideas that are paving the way for next-generation technology and healthcare solutions in Latvia, participants were introduced to the first 40 projects funded by the platform, which aim to create internationally competitive innovations and strengthen science-business collaboration.
