Solution for Cleaning Dental Burs and Improving Reusability (BUR-CURE)

Video

Description

The project BUR-CURE addresses a problem in dentistry: diamond drills (burs) in dentistry are often thrown away after one use because they cannot be cleaned completely and safely again.

The BUR-CURE project aims to ensure the safe re-use of dental burs, reducing waste and costs and contributing to more sustainable care. The project will develop and test an approach that ensures high hygiene standards and fits comfortably into everyday clinical processes focusing on safety, usability and fast implementation. As a result, society can expect lower treatment costs and less medical waste.
