“The ”BioPhoT“ project can be explored in the new Radio SWH TV program ”Latvia in Science."

This Thursday, May 28, at 8:00 PM SWH TV Radio on air A new program, “Latvia in Science,” will premiere. In it, host Gustavs Terzens will meet with the brightest minds in Latvia whose ideas, research, and achievements resonate not only in Latvia but also in the world. The program will offer an opportunity to explore several “BioPhoT” projects, including in the premiere episode with DURBIS project iepazīstinās tā vadītājs, Rīgas Tehniskās universitātes inženieris Mārcis Eimanis.

“Latvia in Science” is a program about people who think boldly, research deeply, and create solutions that can change our understanding of technology, environment, medicine, society, and the future. It will introduce viewers to Latvian scientists, researchers, and innovators whose ideas and discoveries are shaping future technologies, solutions, and the space of knowledge.

Mārcis Eimanis will talk about and demonstrate a drone that combines AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicleand terrestrial drone technology, allowing for efficient movement in water, pipes, sand, snow, and other granular materials where traditional solutions fail. Such technology can be used for security and infrastructure inspection, and in the future, for medicine.

The members of the Council will also discuss opportunities for young scientists and the long-term national research program. “BioPhoT” and anticipated participation at one of the world's most significant deep tech and innovation events – “Hello Tomorrow” in Amsterdam on June 11th and 12th. The summit will bring together over 3000 investors, entrepreneurs, corporations, and scientists from around the world. For the first time, “BioPhoT,” together with the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia and the Riga Investment and Tourism Agency, is organizing a unified Latvian deep tech industry delegation and presentation stand.

“For me, a scientist is a hero. Similar to a writer. And in Latvia, we have many such heroes who invent, create, and live in the world of high ideals! Unbelievably many. My task is to make their work known to a wider audience,” says the program's host Gustavs Terzens about the new program. He will invite viewers to look at science as a living, exciting, and very human process, where ideas become discoveries, and discoveries – real changes.

The program “Latvia in Science” will be broadcast every Thursday at 8:00 PM on Radio SWH TV starting May 28, with a repeat on Sundays at 3:00 PM.
