Applications are open until September 4 for the free three-day intensive program “RTU DeepTech Bootcamp”, which will take place from September 8 to 10 at Riga Technical University (RTU) and the co-working space Startup House Riga. The aim of the program is to help researchers, university innovation teams, and early-stage science-intensive startups accelerate the transformation of scientific discoveries into market-ready products. In evaluating applications for participation, preference will be given to “BioPhoT” teams, participants of university incubation programs, and “EIT Community” alumni.
A practical approach-based program for participants to structure their technology commercialization step-by-step, using the internationally recognized Startup Engine methodology.
A team of leading industry experts – Todd Davie (Todd Davey, Startup Engine author of the methodology, advisor to the European Commission and UNESCO) and Siim Kinnas (Siim Kinnas, Intelegra IP manager and TalTech Researcher in Intellectual Property Strategy) – under the leadership, will work on defining the value proposition, developing revenue and business models, protecting intellectual property, and establishing a clear market capture strategy for the next 18 months.
Bootcamp In conclusion, participants will present their progress in two minutes pitch formatted, claiming a part of 20,000 EUR equity-free prize fund, which will be awarded to the teams with the fastest growth.
