“At the ”BioPhoT" conference, participants will discuss turning science into globally competitive innovations

On October 29, the annual “BioPhoT” conference will take place at the Science House of the University of Latvia (UL), bringing together researchers, entrepreneurs, industry representatives, investors, and policymakers. The aim of the conference is to summarize the development of “BioPhoT” innovation projects and discuss how to transform scientific excellence into innovations with global potential.

Programme

“At the ”BioPhoT“ conference, representatives of scientific institutions, knowledge-intensive and technology companies, as well as investment and policy experts, will meet in one place and share their mutual experience. The daytime program includes discussions on the achievements and insights of innovation projects supported by the ”BioPhoT“ platform, as well as on science and industry cooperation in Latvia. A special place at the conference will be reserved for an exposition of technologies developed by ”BioPhoT" program teams.

During two panel discussions at the conference, special attention will be paid to the key stages and challenges that researchers and teams face when transferring scientific ideas into industry and the market.

Visitors in person will be able to explore the prototypes developed so far within the framework of the platform's projects, their practical application and development potential, as well as learn about opportunities to establish cooperation with scientific teams. The program also includes presentations by teams supported by “BioPhoT” on their achievements and future cooperation opportunities.
