From research to industry: energy, communications, advanced manufacturing
On September 24, the Institute of Solid State Physics of the University of Latvia (LU ISSP) and the University of Latvia will gather researchers, technology developers, industry representatives and innovators, to explore the latest technologies in a single day, discuss with industry representatives, visit laboratories, and build new cooperation contacts.
The day brings together two mutually complementary programs:
INDUSTRY DAY – a morning program that brings research closer to industry by offering technology presentations, industry feedback and Q&A sessions, as well as laboratory tours. SWEB and FeLow-D Project researchers and industry partners will present prospective technologies in the fields of functional coatings, smart windows, additive manufacturing, sensors, biomedicine, energy harvesting, and water purification.
SENSING THE FUTURE – the afternoon program at the University of Latvia House of Science, organized within the framework of the BioPhoT program, offers an introduction to the technologies shaping the future of energy, communications, and advanced manufacturing. The program features a conversation with Prof. Koen Bertels (Koen Bertels) on quantum computing, DNA data storage, and Unveil models, technology presentations, Industry Reality Check and a 40-Second Matchmaker – dynamic networking session for building new contacts and collaboration opportunities.
