Description
Within the project, a new ammonia sensor prototype is being developed using polyaniline (PANI) films due to their electrical properties and resistance to ammonia. Currently, there are no such sensors on the market based on conductive polymers that are sufficiently resistant in conditions with constant ammonia presence, such as at chicken farms.
The Achievable Results
The project's goal is to increase the technology readiness level to TRL4 by developing a prototype capable of detecting ammonia concentration in the range of 0 to 100 ppm with 1 ppm sensitivity. In parallel, material research, development process optimization, and market research will be conducted for further development and commercialization.
The Anticipated Benefit
The project's outcome is a new class of cost-effective, scalable, and environmentally adaptable ammonia sensors for agricultural applications.
