A collaboration between doctors from the Children's Clinical University Hospital (BKUS), Riga Stradins University (RSU) and Riga Technical University (RTU), “BioPhoT in the U-TEST project A new method for detecting blood poisoning is being developed. It allows the detection of sepsis in newborns using urine instead of painful blood tests. If all goes well, the new equipment could certainly be in demand not only at the Children's Hospital in Latvia, but in hospitals all over the world.
